As part of Penn Township’s celebration of America’s 250th Birthday, residents answered the call to help their neighbors by participating in a community food drive benefiting the Manheim Central Food Pantry. Throughout the event, donations of red, white, and blue-themed food items were collected to support families throughout the Manheim Central community.
By the conclusion of the drive, the community had donated 69.1 pounds of food to the pantry.
While our goal was to collect 250 pounds, the true success of this food drive isn’t measured solely by the number of pounds collected, but by the willingness of our community to come together in support of neighbors in need. Every donation helps make a difference, and the generosity shown throughout this effort reflects the caring spirit of Penn Township. Food pantries rely on community donations year-round, and every pound collected helps provide meals to those facing food insecurity.
