Insurance Premium Adjustments

The Biggert Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2012 was passed by the U.S. Congress, requiring changes to the NFIP and its administration. Part of this legislation will eliminate the remaining federal subsidies of individual policies (FEMA notes that only 20% of all premiums are still subsidized). Penn Township is not involved in the details of these policies, so more information about any effect on premiums should be directed to your policy provider. A general handout about the reform act – along with several other documents – can be found in the Related Documents section to the right.
