Lancaster County Traffic Safety Survey Open Until October 31

The Lancaster County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) announces a survey for the Traffic Safety Action Plan open until October 31, 2024. The Traffic Safety Action Plan is being created to reduce the number of people killed and seriously injured in traffic crashes. The survey asks how people get from place to place in Lancaster County, how safe they feel on our roadways, and for locations of safety issues. The survey is available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese on the Lancaster County Planning Website: https://lancastercountyplanning.org/328/Traffic-Safety-Action-Plan.

The Lancaster County Traffic Safety Action Plan will be based on countywide crash data and public input. It is expected to be completed in 2025. The plan builds upon the work of the City of Lancaster’s 2020 Vision Zero Action Safety Plan. A wide range of local partners are being included in the process of making streets safer and more comfortable for everyone. After adoption, this plan will be used by the Lancaster County MPO to fund transportation projects designed to lower the number of serious crashes.

The Lancaster County Metropolitan Planning Organization is committed to compliance with the nondiscrimination requirements of applicable civil rights statutes, executive orders, regulations, and policies. Anyone who requires any assistance to take the survey, please contact Will Clark at (717) 299- 8333 or by email at wclark@lancastercountypa.gov as soon as possible within the open survey period.
