DESCRIPTION:PUBLIC NOTICE \nNotice is hereby given that the Penn Township Board of Supervisors at its meeting on Monday\, October 12\, 2021\, at 7:00 p.m.\, at the Penn Township Municipal Building\, 97 North Penryn Road\, Manheim\, Pennsylvania\, shall consider\, and\, if appropriate\, at that meeting or at a subsequent meeting held within 60 days of the date of publication of this advertisement\, shall enact an ordinance\, the caption of which is as follows: \nAN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF ORDINANCES\, CHAPTER 21\, STREETS AND SIDEWALKS\, TO RESTATE\, AMEND\, AND ADD  REGULATIONS GOVERNING DISTURBANCES OF AND OBSTRUCTIONS WITHIN STREET RIGHTS-OF-WAY AND TO AMEND CHAPTER 15\, MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC\, TO REVISE PARKING PROHIBITIONS. \nThe proposed ordinance may be summarized as follows. Section 1 amends Chapter 21\, Streets and Sidewalks\, to revise Part 2\, Disturbance of Lands or Other Obstructions Within Rights-of- Way\, to provide comprehensive regulations governing legislative intent\, definitions\, prohibitions of disturbances of land within the right-of-way or depositing of materials on the right-of-way; prohibition of nuisances; prohibitions of structures including sports equipment within rights-of- way; regulation of placement of building materials and dumpsters within rights-of-way; enforcement\, and violations and penalties. Section 2 amends Chapter 15\, Motor Vehicles and Traffic\, to prohibit parking within 10 feet of a mailbox. Sections 3-5 reaffirm all other parts and provisions of the Code of Ordinances\, provide for severability of any invalid provisions\, and set forth the effective date.
